About
Hello you have reached the blog of Scott Fletcher, a mid twenties Sydney sider who decided to pack it all up and head for Asia. This is about my travels, experiences, the people I meet and basically anything that I find interesting.
After I left School I went to did a Bachelor of Science at Sydney University followed by some work, the first place that I worked was not the most enjoyable but it set me up for a great job which I had for two and a half years before leaving. Doing marketing at Microsoft was a great experience having a lot of freedom that you don’t always have at smaller companies, working with great people, having great bosses and Collegues (as well as others) from whom I did learn a lot.
I have always wanted to travel but until now I have put it off for various reasons but it was time to resign from a job that was great to see what else life offered. I have had nothing but great experiences so far and hope to continue this great luck. After travelling through India, this set me up beautifully for Asia where it is a little more chilled out with a different culture and people.
I hope you enjoy, this leg will last until mid November when I will return for my brothers wedding. I was initially wanting to go to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, China, Tibet and Nepal, but this is changing all the time. Currently I do not think I will be making Tibet or Nepal as everything takes more time than you think. After being inspired by a few people along the way I am more thinking about heading back to Australia over land.
Hope you enjoy
Scott Fletcher
Hi Scott, thanks for the visit and comment. Looks like you have got your travels off to a fantastic start - Vietnam is a brilliant place. Like the blog layout too by the way.
